Edmonton Area Guide

Edmonton is located in the south east of the London borough of Enfield which borders Barnet to the west, Haringey to the south and Waltham Forest to the east. To the north the borough opens out onto the spectacular sprawling countryside of the county of Hertfordshire with the areas of Broxbourne, Welwyn Hatfield and Hertsmere to the north and the expansive Epping Forest in Essex to the north east. The area of Edmonton itself borders Tottenham, Bush Hill Park Winchmore Hill, Palmers Green, Chingford and Enfield. Edmonton offers some of London's most competitively priced properties as well as wealth of inexpensive eating and shopping outlets, and with some of north London's most attractive parks, shopping centres and landmarks just a short journey away, Edmonton makes an attractive choice for any  purchaser or investor.

With Pymmes Park, the Picketts Lock Leisure centre, the Lea Valley Park and the River Lea walk, as well as numerous recreational grounds and public gardens, Edmonton offers a wealth of open space popular with families, ramblers, joggers and picnickers alike. As well as its very own cricket club, Edmonton offers bountiful opportunities for sporting activities including the Edmonton Leisure Centre providing a swimming pool and sports hall, the Lee Valley Leisure Complex as well as cycling roots and angling in Pickett's Lock.

Although a traditionally working class area, Edmonton is attracting more and more first time buyers. The area has for some time been a focus for rejuvenation with, for example the recent  multi-million pound regeneration of Edmonton Green which has brought new and modern housing, retail, health care and leisure space. Edmonton is also included in the £1.5 billion Meridian Water redevelopment project which will provide up to 3000 new jobs and 5000 new homes for the area.

With numerous expanses of open space, a wide selection of schools and leisure facilities, its location in the midst of vibrant north London and the millions of pounds of development ongoing in the area, Edmonton is undoubtedly an attractive choice for all buyers.
